NPA launches Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Association will make sure 100 percent of donations goes directly to relief agencies or NPA retailers in need.

As the nation’s largest association representing natural products consumers, retailers and suppliers, the Natural Products Association has launched an industry effort to help those directly affected by Hurricane Sandy through the creation of the NPA Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. All donations to the fund can be made to the Natural Products Foundation at

“We want to do what we can to help the victims who have suffered from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, whether they’re our fellow citizens or fellow NPA members. We urge any store owners who suffered damage from the storm to contact the national NPA office and let us know you need help,” said NPA Executive Director and CEO John Shaw. “If you know of a store that was damaged, even if it’s not your own, please contact us. We will make sure 100 percent of these donations go directly to the relief agencies or the NPA retailers in need.”

Contributions to the relief fund will be disbursed to the American Red Cross, Salvation Army or NPA Retailer Relief, which will help NPA member retailers who sustained damage from Hurricane Sandy. All contributions to the foundation are tax deductible as charitable donations. To make a donation online, go to
