(ANN ARBOR, MI USA) – NSF International (www.nsf.org), The Public Health and Safety Company™ awards Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) registration to the Natural Alternatives International, Inc. (NAI). NSF is the world leader in standards development, product certification, education and risk management services for public health and safety. NAI received its GMP registration through the NSF Dietary Supplements Certification Program.
The NSF Dietary Supplements Certification Program provides contract manufacturers a means to become independently registered as conforming to GMP requirements. GMPs are regulatory requirements that provide guidelines for necessary processes, procedures and documentation to assure the product produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity it is represented to possess. NSF conducted a plant audit at the NAI facility to verify compliance with GMPs. NAI will undergo periodic NSF GMP audits to maintain the registration.
The NSF GMP Registration Program is available to all contract manufacturers and manufacturing facilities of dietary supplements. The program increases confidence and offers a competitive advantage in the marketplace for contract manufacturers. Contract manufacturers of dietary supplements that comply with GMP requirements receive NSF registration certificates and are listed on the NSF web site.
“NAI’s GMP registration demonstrates their continued commitment to quality and to customer satisfaction,” said Ray Jaglowski, NSF Vice President, New Business Development. “I would like to congratulate NAI on becoming one of the first companies to receive GMP registration.”
