NutraCea(R) Finalizes Agreement With Wellness Watchers Systems LLC

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif., Nov 11, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- NutraCea(R) (NTRZ) announced today that they have signed an agreement to private label their proprietary stabilized rice bran formulas for Phoenix-based Wellness Watchers Systems LLC (WWS), a distributor of nutritional and bio-medical food products worldwide.

The terms of the agreement provide for NutraCea(R) to grant WWS non exclusive rights to market its portfolio of stabilized rice bran-based nutritional supplements and bio-medical foods under the trusted Wellness Watcher branded line to a rapidly expanding global distribution channel servicing thousands of dispensing healthcare practitioners.

Patricia McPeak, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NutraCea(R) stated, "We anticipate this to be a highly lucrative and profitable venture. Wellness Watchers offers NutraCea(R) a proven sales and marketing channel for our stabilized rice bran formulations and a means of bringing these natural bio-medical food solutions to healthcare professionals and their patients who will ultimately reap the enormous health benefits they offer."

"With the outstanding reputation of Dr. Donald Hayes and Deonn Hayes and their successful track record, we believe we have a strong and effective means of broadcasting our message and maximizing the potential for this exciting new venture," McPeak said.

Dr. Hayes remarked, "NutraCea(R) has filled a market niche with their revolutionary value-added stabilized rice bran formulations. We are very excited about working with Ms. McPeak and her team and expect that by combining our strengths and resources, the realization of that vision can be greatly accelerated."

Originally founded in 2001 by internationally renowned health and nutrition experts Don and Deonn Hayes, WWS has established a worldwide network of Certified Centers operated by independent healthcare providers. WWS caters to thousands of Healthcare Practitioners. Healthcare practices earn the distinction as a "Certified Center" upon acquiring WWS's copyrighted suite of software and administrative products that help a health specialist to best consult patients on how to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle. "The Wellness Watchers Nutritional System(C)", now marketed exclusively by WWS, is a unique and innovative assessment and marketing toolset comprised of:

ActualAge(C) Assessment -- a fitness evaluation that assigns a comparative "age" (18-90) to the results of various health and fitness measurements.

Healthy Living Questionnaire Survey(C) -- coupled with the ActualAge(C) Assessment, these two systems quickly provide a healthcare provider with a snapshot of a patient's current lifestyle habits for review.

BioStatus(TM) Analysis -- a patent-pending, computerized assessment program that provides a customized Wellness Report. The BioStatus Analysis(TM) three-page Wellness Report provides personal information and recommendations for each person analyzed, thus empowering the healthcare provider to help patients understand and appreciate how their prevailing lifestyles may be negatively impacting their health.
