ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Nutraceutical Clinical Laboratories International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NCCL) today announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Winniczuk as Director of Beverage Research & Development.
Mr. Winniczuk, formerly the Microbiology Manager/QA Specialist for Pasco Beverage Company, a division of Vitality Beverage, the No. 1 U.S. seller of private label juices to grocery store chains, brings years of experience from a host of roles throughout his career in the beverage industry. Prior to his work at Pasco, Mr. Winniczuk was Quality Assurance Auditor/Food Scientist for Slim Fast Foods Company.

Mr. Winniczuk received his BS in Food Science from Purdue University and his MS from the University of Florida, in which he did research to extend the shelf life of non-pasteurized orange juice. Mr. Winniczuk started his juice/beverage career with Tropicana Products and then moved to Indian River Foods as the Quality Assurance Manager. His major career emphasis has been the shelf life extension of beverages.
Nutraceutical Clinical Laboratories International, Inc., was incorporated in 1999 to provide research, development and product testing to the nutraceutical, preservative and medical products industry. In 2001 the Company began to focus its efforts on bringing to market one of its own intellectual properties, NuPreserv(TM), a revolutionary new food preservative in the $20 billion worldwide market for value-added food ingredients. In January of 2002, the Company successfully launched the manufacture and sale of NuPreserv(TM) and began shipment to one of the nation's leading bakeries. The company is also continuing its testing of NuPreserv with several other bakeries.
NuPreserv(TM) looks, tastes and smells like water and significantly extends the shelf life of food products over chemical preservatives currently in use. NuPreserv(TM) eliminates the need for added flavors or fragrances used to cover up the bad tastes and/or smells from the use of chemical preservatives.
The Company believes the applications for NuPreserv(TM) extend beyond the baked goods segment of the food industry. Extensive research and development testing is currently being conducted in the beverage, meat, poultry, produce and seafood markets. NuPreserv(TM) does not replace pasteurization or sterilization but is an alternative to toxic chemicals currently being used in foods and beverages.
