Nutrition Capital Network Announcements and Upcoming Events

Applications are currently being accepted for entrepreneurs and growth companies in the nutrition, health, wellness, natural/organic & green products arena to present at Nutrition Capital Network’s Fall 2008 Investor Meeting at the St. Regis in San Francisco on Thursday, November 13, 2008. NCN’s third signature expects more than 60 strategic and financial investors to review 22-24 companies selected by NCN’s screening committee.

Companies interested in presenting must fill out a confidential application form, complete the screening committee review process and presentation rehearsal, in order to be accepted for the meeting. Application is free and applying companies can obtain support for the application process, business plan review and presentation documents from NCN Executive Director Mike Dovbish (415-254-1116).

October 16, 2008: NCN at Expo East: Investor Orientation and Networking session hosted by NCN in Boston prior to the opening of Expo East at 8-10 am. Exhibitor companies seeking company will be listed or profiled (exhibitors must complete brief application) and investor attendance is free of charge.

November 12-13, 2008: NCN III, NCN’s Fall 2008 Investor Meeting, is set for Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the St. Regis in San Francisco, with a welcoming banquet the night before.

Our signature event, NCN III is the third in our series of meetings every 6 months to connect a new generation of growth companies in the nutrition industry with strategic and equity investors. NCN III, NCN’s Fall 2008 Investor Meeting, is set for Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the St. Regis in San Francisco, with a welcoming banquet the night before.

Companies introduce themselves in 10-minute presentations throughout the morning with the afternoon reserved for one-on-one meetings. Investors receive detailed profiles of the presenting companies 2-3 days ahead of the meeting, and each company’s presentation is carefully managed to assure quality and uniformity. Attendance at NCN III requires a $2,500 registration fee for each investor.
