Aurora, IL (June 1, 2004) – Optimum Nutrition, Inc. joins an exclusive list of dietary supplement manufacturers in becoming a National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International-GMP-registered manufacturing and contract packaging facility.
NSF’s rigorous auditing processes focus on all aspects of dietary supplement manufacturing from the receiving of incoming raw materials to storage and shipping of finished goods - verifying that each and every product is produced in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP).
“Optimum Nutrition is a well-run operation that has made a commitment to compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practices and other applicable regulations. Their hard work and progress is evident,” says Michael Schmidt, a certified NSF auditor.
Earlier this year, Optimum Nutrition also received the highest quality rating, “SUPERIOR,” from the American Institute of Baking (AIB), another prestigious third-party GMP-verification organization.
“NSF’s audit and their subsequent decision to register our facility as GMP-compliant verifies what AIB found earlier this year, and ultimately what we have known – internally – all along,” says Ryan Briggs, Director of Quality & Product Development at Optimum Nutrition.
“Its also reassuring news for our customers,” adds Luis Sanchez, Optimum Nutrition’s Quality Control Manager. “Few companies within our industry make quality such a high priority.”
