PacificHealth Laboratories Inc. Elects Joseph Harris to Board of Directors

WOODBRIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2002--PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:PHLI) today announced the election of Joseph Harris to the Company's board of directors.

Mr. Harris' election will increase the number of directors to seven.

Mr. Harris is currently Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of Cantel Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:CNTL), a medical device company concentrating primarily on infection prevention and control products as well as diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Harris served as Senior Vice-President and Director of Corporate Strategy & Development for SmithKline Beecham, PLC (now GlaxoSmithKline) where his responsibilities included management of corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Before SmithKline Beecham, Mr. Harris spent 10 years with Eastman Kodak, which included 8 years as Managing Director of Business Development and 2 years as Director of Licensing Technology Development. Prior to joining Eastman Kodak he practiced corporate law in Syracuse representing numerous public and private corporations.

Mr. Harris received his Bachelors degree in Accounting and his MBA from Syracuse University School of Business. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the Syracuse University School of Law.
