Pharmachem Implements QC Testing Program for Retail Products Containing Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer

KEARNY, NJ, FEB. 6, 2007 – Pharmachem Laboratories announced today that it has implemented a standard operating procedure for regularly sampling retail products containing Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer® to insure that the ingredient is present and in the proper amounts.

“This program has been established to protect retailers and consumers,” said Mitch Skop, director of new product development, Pharmachem Laboratories. “Retailers and consumers need to know that the products they purchase contain adequate quantities of Phase 2 that has undergone clinical studies and is the first weight control ingredient to receive two FDA-accepted claims. Consumers must be able to trust that they are getting the real Phase 2 in the proper amounts to be effective,” he added. “This is the best way for us to build trust in our brand over time.”

According to Skop, Pharmachem has formulated Phase 2 with a benign tracer which helps the company determine if Phase 2 is present and in the proper dosage.

“We will be testing every single retail product, domestically and internationally, at our Kearny manufacturing facility to insure it meets our standards,” said Skop.
