Pharmline's Lutein Passes's Voluntary Certification Program

FLORIDA, NY - JANUARY 15, 2004 Pharmline Inc., a manufacturer of high quality food supplements and phytonutrients, announced that its lutein raw material was tested by (CL) of White Plains, New York, and met the CL quality standard for lutein in dietary supplements. CL, a leading provider of consumer health information and independent evaluations of nutritional supplements, tested it in an independent laboratory blinded to the product's identity. CL found Pharmline's lutein to meet the minimum of 100% of the product's claimed amount of lutein and zeaxanthin. For more information about the test results, visit

Lutein is an antioxidant in the carotenoid family -- a group of naturally occurring, fat-soluble pigments found in plants -- which play a key role in immune system support. Research has shown that people who eat more lutein-containing foods appear to be at lower risk for cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of irreversible blindness amoung adults.
