Robinson Pharma Inc., (RPI) announced that it has been awarded cGMP Certification (#631-10-61753) by the Natural Products Association (NPA). The certification demonstrates that RPI is compliant with the standards outlined in 21 CFR Part 111, the current good manufacturing practices specified by the federal government under DSHEA (the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act) and enforced by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). An NPA authorized and qualified third party auditor conducted an exhaustive audit of the RPI facilities, practices, and staff and concluded that RPI is in compliance with the regulation.
NPA initiated its third party GMP program in 1999 and currently certifies over 70 companies. The Certification process has become significantly more rigorous over the past three years with the implementation of a clear federal standard for compliance and the initiation of FDA inspections of manufacturing facilities. “Our certification by NPA, and the achievement of cGMP compliance, is further evidence that our company has become a world class manufacturer that can compete effectively on price, volume, service, and quality,” stated Tuong Nguyen, CEO and founder of RPI. “This is an important milestone in our company’s history and serves as a strong, positive reinforcement for our program of continuous improvement.”
“Robinson Pharma has had a big year.” According to Kenn Israel, VP of Marketing, “Joining CRN, a successful recertification audit with STR, completion of a seven figure laboratory expansion, and selection by New Hope for inclusion in the factory tour associated with Natural Products Expo West. RPI is committed to a plan of systematic improvement of all aspects of our business and it is yielding significant results.” In addition to cGMP certification by NPA, RPI is also currently certified by STR under their RQP program, has a drug manufacturing license, and is a member of CRN, NPA, PLMA, and IFFO.
