Sabinsa Executive to Address Weight Management at the 2005 World Obesity & Weight Loss Congress

PISCATAWAY, NJ, August 25, 2005 - Vladimir Badmaev, M.D., Ph.D., vice president of medical and scientific affairs at Sabinsa Corporation, will present "The Role of Lean Body Mass in Successful Weight Management" at the World Obesity and Weight Loss Congress in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 3:30 - 4:15 p.m.

Dr. Badmaev will discuss the role of lean body mass as a key to healthy weight management. He will highlight the role of ForsLean ( R ), a patented standardized extract of Coleus forskohlii roots, in increasing lean body mass and improving overall body composition. His session will highlight results from recent clinical studies, which have shown that ForsLean decreases body weight while increasing lean body mass, as well as cover ForsLean's mechanism of action, safety and toxicity and effect on key metabolic functions. Dr. Badmaev is responsible for managing scientific studies and clinical trials involving Sabinsa's products. He studied medicine at the Medical Academy Bialystok (AMB) in Poland and received his M.D. in clinical and anatomical pathology from Kings County Hospital and Downstate Medical Center, New York, NY, in 1985. Dr. Badmaev also earned a Ph.D. in immunopharmacology from AMB in 1978. He is the author and coauthor of more than 30 scientific and popular scientific articles, four books and eight U.S. patents.
