Sabinsa Executive to Take Part in Panel Discussion on Clinical Research at Nutracon 2006

PISCATAWAY, N.J., March 6, 2006 - Vladimir Badmaev, M.D., Ph.D., vice president of scientific & medical affairs at Sabinsa Corporation, will participate in a panel presentation at Nutracon 2006 entitled "Research Roulette - Solutions When Your Research Goes Wrong," on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, from 4:45 - 5:30 p.m. in room 303C at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif. Dr. Badmaev will share in discussion surrounding what to do when clinical research yields unexpected results, as well as highlight the difficulties, challenges and positive aspects of evidence-based product development. Other panel participants include: Anthony Alamada, founder, president and CEO of IMAGINutrition; Douglas Kalman, director of nutrition and endocrinology research, Miami Research Associates; Howard Schwartz, medical research director and director of gastroenterology, Miami Research Associates; and Shane Freedman, senior associate, Latham and Watkins.

Dr. Badmaev is responsible for spearheading and managing scientific studies and clinical trials surrounding Sabinsa's products. He studied medicine at the Medical Academy Bialystok (AMB) in Poland and received his M.D. in clinical and anatomical pathology from Kings County Hospital and Downstate Medical Center, New York, NY, in 1985. Dr. Badmaev also earned a Ph.D. in immunopharmacology from AMB in 1978. He is the author and coauthor of more than 30 scientific and popular scientific articles, four books and eight U.S. patents.
