Senator Durbin Introduces Amendment Regarding Dietary Supplements to Defense Bill

Earlier this morning, Senator Durbin (D-Ill) introduced an amendment (3225) to the Defense Funding Bill S. 2400, under consideration by the Senate. The amendment, if adopted, would bar selling dietary supplements containing a stimulant to be sold on military installations except under certain conditions. There are indications that another amendment dealing with this issue may be introduced early next week.

According to the NNFA, this amendment has now been withdrawn. (June 21, 2004)
