The company will receive an Investment In The Future award in recognition of Standard Process' current 100,000-square-foot expansion and its plans to increase its workforce of 224 by an additional 50 full-time employees over the next few years. The NBJ Business Awards are hosted by Nutrition Business Journal, a monthly executive publication focusing primarily on the nutrition industry.
In announcing Standard Process as a recipient of its Investment In The Future award, NBJ reported that Standard Process sales grew 20% in 2006. The company's products are distributed through health care professionals. In 2006, Standard Process shipped 8.7 million bottles - more than 167,000 per week.
