Standard Process Named to INC Magazine's List of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies

PALMYRA, Wis., Sep 06, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Standard Process, Inc.(R), a nutritional whole food supplement company in Palmyra, Wisconsin, has been named to INC Magazine's list of the 5000 fastest growing private companies in America. INC reported that Standard Process had revenue growth of 52.8% for the period 2003 through 2006. The magazine also reported that the company had 2006 revenues of $77 million and 221 employees.

The company, which topped all other supplement companies in revenues and number of employees, ranked fifth in percentage of revenue growth among companies identified as manufacturers of supplements. Standard Process was ranked #4243 in the list of 5000 companies.

In the State of Wisconsin, Standard Process ranked sixth for revenue growth among all companies in the health category. Of those, Standard Process was second in revenues and third in number of employees.

Of all 5000 companies reported by INC, only 38 were older than Standard Process, which was founded in Milwaukee in 1929.
The INC 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. Among the qualifications, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. Revenue in 2003 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2006 must have been at least $2 million.
