Stevia supplier receives cease trade order

Ongoing delays in filing 2011 annual reports earn GLG Life Tech a cease trade order from the British Columbia Securities Commission.

GLG Life Tech Corp. announced that a full cease trade order has been imposed on the securities of the Company by the British Columbia Securities Commission resulting from the delay in filing its annual financial statements, its Annual Information Form (and related Form 40-F in the United States) and the CEO and CFO certifications (collectively, the "Required Documents") for the period ended December 31, 2011.

GLG continues to work to obtain further audit evidence as required by its auditors to complete the filing of its year end financial statements. KPMG has been engaged by the Company's Audit Committee to assist with third party audit evidence to properly conclude on certain third party transactions.
