Brian Buck, senior vice president and general manager of Takasago International Corp. (USA) Flavor Division, announced that Takasago Flavors has appointed George Marinos as the division’s manager, Flavor Applications. He reports to Amby Mankoo, vice president of Flavor Laboratories.
Mr. Buck said, “George brings to his new position a wealth of knowledge and experience that spans multiple product lines. We welcome him as a valuable addition to our flavor team.”
Before joining Takasago, Mr. Marinos was employed by Kraft Foods where he held key positions from 1990 until the present time. He led new Product Development, Open Innovation and Commercialization for Beverages, Desserts, Coffee, Confectionery, Biscuits, and Natural products. Most recently, Mr. Marinos was a Program Leader of Kraft’s Back to Nature® line of Natural and Organic products. Prior to the extensive experience at Kraft Foods, he managed a regional Flavor Applications Laboratory for Sanofi Bio Ingredients. He launched his career with Popsicle Inc., a division of Sara Lee.
Mr. Marinos acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree from the National University of Greece, and went on to earn both a Master of Science Degree in Food Technology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Baruch College, City University of New York. He is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and the Organic Trade Association.
