In an effort to generate increased exposure for their respective product lines, two major supplement companies recently added TV to their marketing efforts.
Nature’s Answer of Hauppage, NY and Los Angeles based Jarrow Formulas both announced television marketing campaigns for 2004. Targeting health-oriented consumers, both companies are sponsorsing the national television series “Alive & Well with Michelle Harris”. The magazine-style show focuses on nutrition and natural foods and currently airs twice daily on national cable network GoodLife TV. A complete broadcast schedule is listed at www.AliveandWell.TV .
The MHM Group, the producers of Alive & Well, also produced commercial spots for both companies. Mark Harris, CEO of The MHM Group and Executive Producer of Alive & Well, said that both spots are "retail driven and designed to generate viewer interest in the featured products, while driving the consumer traffic to retailers”. The spots are scheduled for an initial run through mid 2004 with both companies starting commercial airings in November 2003.
In addition to airing the commercials, Alive & Well will also be airing educational segments and interviews with health experts on subjects that relate to the sponsors’ product lines. Jarrow Formulas are utilizing Alive & Well primarily to promote Bio-Sil and Jarro-Dophilus EPS (Enhanced Probiotic System), while Nature’s Answer are focusing on the Nature’s Answer brand and promoting several new products in their line.
