Vertellus Specialties Inc., a leading specialty chemicals company, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Washuta to Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain. Washuta will also be a member of the Vertellus Leadership Team.
John has more than 25 years of manufacturing experience with progressive leaders in the chemical industry. John began his career at Mobil Chemical before moving onto a regional manufacturing leadership role at GAF Materials Corporation. Upon leaving GAF, he took on a series of manufacturing management and quality related roles with GE Plastics. While at GE Plastics, he was a product quality leader and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. After GE Plastics was acquired by SABIC, John assumed manufacturing roles at SABIC's Mt. Vernon, Ind., facility. Washuta graduated from West Point with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mathematics and served 5 years as a Captain in the US Army.

Washuta will work out of Vertellus' Indianapolis, Ind., headquarters and will report directly to Richard Preziotti.
