Vitiva Appoints Chr. Olesen Nutrition as Agent in the Nordic Countries

Slovenia-based Vitiva has announced a co-operation agreement with privately-owned Danish company Chr. Olesen Nutrition A/S, under which the latter will act as an agent and distribute Vitiva’s botanical extracts and its extensive rosemary line to the Nordic countries.

The human nutrition division, Chr. Olesen Nutrition, managed by Mr. Torben Nielsen, is a major distributor of vitamins and amino acids. It will represent Vitiva’s product line in this market thanks to its strong position in the Nordic region. Vitiva has explored this market in depth and discovered that the Nordic region is suitable for its extensive range of Vitiva’s extracts line.

“Vitiva expects to increase its sales in North Europe by 60% over the next three years,” says Ohad Cohen, Vitiva CEO. “We expect a rapid growth of rosemary and other extracts in the nutraceuticals and food industries. We intend to provide these natural powerful grades for new food applications in order to replace the synthetic petrochemical ingredients available in the market.”

"The Rosemary line is our core business at Vitiva. As such, we devote our R&D team efforts to make it exclusively tuned for a wide range of applications. In many cases Vitiva develops these formulas with our customers as a tailor-made, exclusive solution,” says Mr. Cohen. “Together with Chr.Olsen Nutrition, we will be able to develop the market for rosemary extracts line in the Nordic countries and leverage our unique product solutions".

Vitiva, Slovenia, is the largest natural rosemary antioxidant producer in Europe. Production and operations in Vitiva comply with ISO, GMP, HACCP and Kosher. Vitiva is owned by Aktiva Group, a €500 million holding company.
