Worldnutra Conference Features Bioriginal Speakers: GLA and Functional Foods Among Session Topics

Saskatoon, SK Canada – Two Bioriginal speakers will be featured during the Worldnutra Conference November 7-10, 2004, in San Francisco, California. Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, Bioriginal’s director of science & technology, and Ms. Shelagh Jamieson, director of marketing services, will present and chair sessions during the conference.

Dr. Kapoor will discuss how leukotrienes play an important role in cell-to-cell communications and how GLA modulates their levels. His presentation, GLA: A Natural Leukotriene Modulator, will be presented on November 9 at 3:10 p.m.

Ms. Jamieson will present Making the Leap from Specialty Supplement to Functional Food: The Challenges of Marketing Flax Flour, discussing the implications of penetrating the functional food market. Plan to attend this session November 8 at 3:40 p.m.
