Yukiguni Maitake Company, Ltd. Completes Kosher Certification Process

World's largest maitake cultivator receives Kosher Certification for its Maitake Extract

Yukiguni Maitake Company, Ltd., the world's largest cultivator of premium maitake mushrooms and patented extracts, has been granted new Kosher Certification by Circle K Kosher Certification for its patented Maitake Extract, (U.S. Patent #5,854,404) sold commercially under the name of MaitakeGold404 by its U.S. sales affiliate, the Tradeworks Group Inc. of Brattleboro, Vermont. This completes the kosher certification process for all of Yukiguni's products, including fresh maitake, dried maitake, fruiting body powder and now maitake extract.

The company also holds ISO 22000, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications, and Yukiguni's patented processes yield the only maitake mushroom extract that meets the high standards set by prominent research facilities, such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and United States government agencies. The consistently high quality of its products makes Yukiguni Maitake the preferred and pre-eminent source of maitake mushroom extracts for human clinical trials worldwide.
"We are pleased to have demonstrated that our product and its patented extraction process met Circle K's Kosher certification criteria which now certifies MaitakeGold404 as the first maitake-originated extract to receive Kosher Certification in the U.S. This is great news for U.S. consumers who require Kosher certified dietary supplements," said Kazunori Kameyama, CEO of Yukiguni Subsidiaries.

Maitake is the Japanese name for the edible Grifola frondosa mushroom, also known as Hen of the Woods, that has been used for centuries as a dietary supplement in Japan and China. Previous studies published in major medical journals have shown that maitake mushroom extract is beneficial for supporting a healthy immune system and cellular health.
