Chrysantis Launches EZEyes® Zeaxanthin Beadlet

Company offers new form of all-natural zeaxanthin

WEST CHICAGO, IL – Chrysantis, Inc. announces that EZEyes® zeaxanthin is now available in a 10 percent beadlet form. This is the industry’s first all-natural, free 3R 3’R zeaxanthin beadlet.

EZEyes zeaxanthin has traditionally been available in stable oil suspension, making it ideal for use in softgel and liquid capsule supplement formulations. The new beadlet form provides the opportunity for EZEyes zeaxanthin – the only natural free zeaxanthin on the market – to be used in a broader range of products, including powders, capsules and tablets.

“We are truly excited about adding this new product form to our offering,” says Phil Gowaski, Sales and Marketing Manager for Chrysantis. “We have worked hard to ensure that the new EZEyes beadlet protects zeaxanthin during the tabletting process and that it remains stable when in contact with a wide variety of ingredients, which makes it the product of choice for a multivitamin tablet.”

EZEyes zeaxanthin, made from Marigolds, is the same form of zeaxanthin found naturally in fruits and vegetables. Chrysantis announced in October 2007 that EZEyes had achieved GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) designation, meaning it is considered safe for use in food and beverage products.

Zeaxanthin, in combination with lutein, is a critical nutrient for eye health that can help guard against vision problems such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and cataracts. New research has also shown a link between zeaxanthin and cognitive function.
