Drug users benefit from fish oil
Substance abusers tend to also have anxiety disorders, which can benefit from omega-3s. In a six-month, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 24 substance abusers, 3g/day Nordic Naturals omega-3 fish oils, anxiety scores decreased compared to placebo.

Soy reduces cholesterol two ways
Soy lowers LDL cholesterol in two ways, according to new research on Soy Labs' Lunastatin. First, soy protein inhibits by 50% the enzyme that makes the body's storehouse of cholesterol. Second, soy protein increases expression of the LDL-R receptor gene by 60%, which removes LDL cholesterol.
