Fuji-Keizai Announces Results of Study into Market for Foodstuffs, Ingredients, and Care Food for the Elderly

The general marketing business company, Fuji-Keizai Co., Ltd., carried out a study into the market for foods aimed at the elderly in Japan’s already aging society in terms of retail/wholesale/provided meals/home delivery/establishment (hospitals, old people’s homes, etc.) trends, as well as the ingredient and care food market. The results of the study were published in a report entitled Silver Food Service no Tettei Kaimei. In addition to the issues investigated in the Silver & Senior Food Channel no Tettei Kaimei report published in 2006, the current report featured an expanded area of analysis with the addition of retail, home delivery, and establishment distribution routes.
