Lisa Mabe is founder and principal of Hewar Social Communications and a recognized expert in social communications, multicultural marketing and the specialty foods field. She has planned and implemented numerous public relations campaigns for several leading companies and brands. Some of her clients have included: Sodexo USA, Nestle, ConAgra, American Halal Co (Saffron Road), Artisanal Premium Cheese, KeHE Distributors, Kimberly Clark, Sara Lee, DISH Network, and Bissell Homecare among many others.
Mabe is a pioneer in the space of marketing to Muslim consumers, one of the fastest growing consumer segments.
Prior to founding Hewar in early 2010, she worked with two leading communications agencies, Frank About Women, the country’s leading marketing-to-women consultancy (a subsidiary of Mullen, an IPG company) and Proof Digital Media (a subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, a WPP company). Mabe is frequently cited in news outlets as a resource on social communications, multicultural marketing and specialty foods.
When not driving client initiatives, Mabe can be found participating in cultural and social events around Washington, D.C., horseback riding, cooking international cuisine or adding stamps to her passport from places like Australia, India and the United Arab Emirates.
