Mary McGovern is the managing director for PlantBased Solutions, a global strategic brand management and marketing agency headquartered in New York.
PlantBased Solutions works with natural companies from around the world to create and build successful businesses. Work includes (but is not limited to) opportunity assessments, business planning & forecasting, new product development, market research, brand creation, and the full range of marketing planning and execution. PlantBased Solutions also maintains one of the largest and most merchandising networks in Whole Foods markets throughout the United States. PlantBased Solutions has launched multiple companies into the trade at Natural Products Expo East and West, garnering awards from New Hope Natural Media and VegNews Magazine and securing national distribution.
Prior to joining PlantBased Solutions, Mary spent over 20 years in marketing leadership roles at consumer products companies including Gillette, Kraft, and Ocean Spray. She consistently delivered strong growth on domestic and global brands – with revenues that ranged from $1 million to more than $2 billion.
A classically trained marketer, she brings strategic rigor, creative passion and a strong analytical bent to each challenge. A graduate of Harvard Business School and The Harvard Graduate School of Education, Mary is excited to apply her experience and training to benefit socially-driven entrepreneurs and businesses.
