Horst M. Rechelbacher, founder of noted nutricosmetics companies Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients, will keynote this year's ground-breaking launch of the NutriCosmetic Summit. The event will provide a unique opportunity for education, interaction and R & D strategy within the nutricosmetic “beauty from within” market. This category is projected to grow to $2.5 billion by 2012 up from its current $1.5 billion. The one-day conference will be held June 10 in Las Vegas and is co-located with Natural MarketPlace, both produced by New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media.
Rechelbacher, who is also author of several books, founded Aveda Corporation in 1978, a global plant-based cosmetic company. Nearly two decades later, he sold Aveda to Estee Lauder but remained a consultant until March 2003. Afterwards, he focused on his new product paradigm, Intelligent Nutrients, a health and beauty product company, utilizing 100 per cent food-based and certified organic ingredients. Since the mid 1960's, Horst has dedicated himself to analyzing the chemical constitution of plants, and pioneered flower and plant-based flavor-aromatherapy, functional foods, and nutricosmetics to enhance personal health and wellbeing.
The conference features two areas/tracks allowing attendees to focus on either science & regulatory or business & marketing trends to give maximum and immediate return to their job responsibilities. Sessions include: Promising New Ingredients, Delivery Systems 1: What do Consumers Want to do, Drink, Slather, Swallow or Chew?, a CEO Roundtable Discussion, as well as sessions focused on regulatory issues, case studies and trends.
Industry members involved in the development or marketing of nutricosmetics, food and beverage, beauty and health, personal care, and/or functional ingredients should attend. This event has been exclusively designed like no other for formulators and innovators in the natural beauty industry.
