Ban plastic bags

Here's an interesting and compelling slideshow on the effects of plastic bags, which we've discussed in DL for years. It's time for a ban! If San Francisco and now Los Angeles can do it, let's make it country-wide -- and then worldwide. (If China can do it, so can we!) Starting today, don't forget to take your own ... and say "no thanks" if you don't need one.
