The first two days of Expo West 2011 have been nothing short of exciting and incredible. The amount of new products being launched here is a sign that the natural products industry is as strong as ever. From kombucha making a strong comeback, to more innovative baby products from companies like Tastybaby and HappyFamily.
We have had dynamic and full sessions, particularly ones covering the topics of Marketing to Hispanic/Latino Populations, Marketing to Moms, and the GMO session with Whole Foods CEO Walter Robb leading the way. Lots of healthy discussion and questions in the GMO session, and a passionate audience that treated the speakers and each other with great respect. Moving towards labeling seemed to be the consensus, and there is broad support for the Non GMO Project, with David Bronner pledging $25,000 in the session to support the project.
