My husband and I leave tomorrow afternoon to take our youngest to college at Duke University (yes, we'll be empty nesters!). She's excited and a little nervous -- and so am I. But I was charmed last night when she showed me three sets of goals she'd written for herself: School Goals (e.g., "get to know my advisor and professors"), Personal Goals (including "keep sight of what's most important"), and Health Goals, which I'm including here:
>Go to the gym at least 3 times a week
>Have at least one Emergen-C per week
>Take daily vitamins
>Drink at least one water bottle per day
>Work on posture, especially while sitting
>Eat at least one fruit or vegetable per day
>Cut back on soda
>Eat energy bars when tired, not sugar!
I am so proud of her ...
