Betaine may improve the body composition and performance of gym rats (not lab rats), suggests a new study.

Forget Cross Fit or a tight fight in t-shirts, when it comes to boosting their biceps, men's best bet for bulking up may be betaine. New research suggests supplementation with betaine improves body composition and performance among strength-trained men. The study appeared in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
