Non-GMO labeling webinar: I-522 and beyond

Washington State officials will soon be tallying the votes on the I-522 Non-GMO Labeling Initiative. This will be an extremely close vote, with a 46 to 42 percent edge for I-522 going into election day. The spend for the initiative is $7.8 million. Those fighting against I-522 have spent $22 million. This is turning out to look a lot like Prop 37.

Either way, the GM industry and its primary voice, the Grocery Manufacturer's Association (GMA), appear poised to take the GMO labeling battle to Washington, D.C., in 2014.

Even though we don't know the outcome of I-522, this is guaranteed to be an interesting webinar.
