The banana-based frozen dessert brand delivered a stellar pitch to impress the five industry judges.

Hakuna Banana's best-friend founders, Hannah Hong and Mollie Cha, were feeling no worries after snagging the top prize at Natural Products Expo West 2019 Pitch-Slam competition last night. 

The banana-based nondairy frozen dessert brand was among 10 semifinalists to compete in this year's pitch competition. Of the 10, five were selected to move on to the final round and compete for the grand prize, which is a $40,000 prize package that includes a free exhibit booth at Expo West 2020, a waived pitch fee for the Nutrition Capital Network Spring or Fall investor meeting, and a host of other amazing services from New Hope Network.

We caught up with the Hakuna Banana founders after they were awarded to hear what they're most excited about from the big win.
