TeaCrine from Compound Solutions Inc. receives GRAS affirmation

Compound Solutions, Inc., the exclusive global distributor of global patents-pending TeaCrine, today announced the results of a new independent assessment on the intended use of TeaCrine as a food and beverage ingredient. The scientific panel of experts unanimously affirmed the intended use of TeaCrine as a food supplement based on GRAS standards and procedures.

With TeaCrine meeting Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) affirmation, Compound Solutions, Inc. will look to broaden the market for TeaCrine from a dietary supplement into a multitude of products in the energy, mood and cognitive function categories. Compound Solutions, Inc. has confirmed that 68 new products featuring TeaCrine will be added to its distribution so far in 2016, bringing the total product count to 124.

“As the de facto choice for clean energy, we are excited to bring TeaCrine into new markets such as energy drinks and functional foods with or without caffeine” said Matt Titlow, CEO of Compound Solutions. “Food and beverage companies that have struggled to find functional ingredients that are GRAS at clinically meaningful doses with substantiated claims and benefits will now have a reliable, proven product.”

TeaCrine’s safety and efficacy is also buttressed by Informed-Choice and Informed-Sport certifications, as well as three published human clinical studies and two more human trials which are currently underway.

The findings from one of the pivotal pre-clinical 90-day safety studies on TeaCrine were accepted for publication by the Journal of Toxicology on July 21, 2016 and will be published within 30 days from the date of acceptance.
