Bionorica Takes Drug Route for Its Herbal Products in 49 Worldwide Markets

But supplement path deemed better option in the United States for Germany-based company

No matter what country you reside in, you likely have access to the products of Bionorica, the Germany-based company that makes herbal remedies targeted to immunity and other specific health conditions. Bionorica — which chocked up sales of 130 million euros (US$190 million) in 2008, up an impressive 13.1% over 2007 — operates in 50 countries worldwide. In all except the U.S. market, however, the company's products are marketed as pharmaceuticals, not dietary supplements.
