The rules of the supplement marketing game in Europe are becoming progressively more narrow and strict. For large companies with the resources to comply with new requirements for dossiers on herbal products, the rules are providing a strategic boost. For smaller companies that specialize in niche herbal products and high-dose nutrient supplements, the rules are creating difficulties ranging from bothersome to overwhelming.
