Nestlé Screens Portfolio for Health Benefits

Short-term nutrition goals include consumer communications; long-term target is product customization.

At the Nestlé Group’s nutrition strategic division in Vevey, Switzerland researchers have begun reviewing its extensive portfolio of products for health benefits. “We are screening all of our products for the possibility, where feasible and necessary and required by consumers, to lower for instance the fat content, the sugar and salt content,” said Hans Renk, spokesperson for Nestlé. “We have already screened hundreds of products for health benefits.”
