The sports nutrition and weight loss (SNWL) segment witnessed a parade of sponsorship deals and product endorsements in the last year. Some of the high profile endorsement news: 19 athletes sponsored by PowerBar Inc. won medals at the Athens Olympics; Trimspa maker Goen Technologies spent several million dollars to sponsor a NASCAR race team; EAS signed up Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck as the third NFL star endorsing Myoplex products; GNC re-upped with Arizona
