Products like guarana and acai have captured U.S. consumers’ imagination with exotic promises of energy and virility steeped in the misty mystery of the South American rainforest. For supplement brand marketers, these and other rainforest botanicals are important both as single products and as ingredients for traditional and proprietary formulations. On the supply side, such ingredients are available from many vendors, but only a few specialize in these types of ingredients.
