Even with all the events happening in the Expo, more fun can be found around the Expo. If you are looking for some different mingling opportunities, a chance to pay it forward or even take a run, check out our list of Expo West-related things to do this week. Be sure to have your Expo West badge with you, as most events are limited to registered attendees.

Help feed Anaheim’s food-insecure residents
KeHE Cares, the non-profit foundation of KeHE Distributors, a distributor of natural and organic specialty and fresh foods, is sponsoring a food-packing event to assist local residents facing challenges in feeding their families. Participants will pack 2,000 boxes of donated food—enough food for 100,000 meals—beginning at 7:30 a.m. (until 10 a.m.) outside of the Anaheim Marriott.

Learn about the supplements market in China

HPA-China will host its annual “China Dietary Supplement Market Insights Seminar” from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Platinum Ballroom 5 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. Seven industry experts will offer the latest information on China’s dietary supplement industry at this free seminar.

Enjoy Thai rice products

Meet 17 Thai companies that offer premium rice and rice products, enjoy a Thai craft beer, sample other foods, and try some personal-care products at a special reception, “Get to Know Thai Rice Products,” from 4-6 p.m. at the Thailand Pavilion in the North Hall (Level 2, booths N1830-1831) of the Anaheim Convention Center.

Minnesota Mingle features Happy Hour

Are you thirsty? Do you want to meet the food and ingredient companies that call Minnesota home? Grow North and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture invite you to Happy Hour, with appetizers and a free first drink, at 7 p.m. on the Fifth Floor of the Hilton Anaheim. Register here.

Dance the night away—well, until 8 p.m.

Con Brio—a seven-piece, Bay Area, soul/psych-rock/R&B band—will play a free concert from 6-8 p.m. at the Grand Plaza Stage, between the Anaheim Hilton and the Anaheim Marriott.

Wake up and run

Nuun is hosting its sixth annual 5K race at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim, and you don’t have to run to get there. The sports nutrition company will transport you from the Anaheim Hilton (and back). The race is at 7:30 a.m.; see the website for transportation times, swag information and to register.

Fuel your natural woman

“Female Founders: Inspiring and Fueling Your Journey” is a breakfast event featuring a pitch-building workshop, a chat with business owners and entrepreneurs, and information about the Stacy’s Rise program (with a chance to win a $100,000 grant). RSVP here.

What’s new with the Regenerative Organic Alliance?

A year after launching its Regenerative Organic Certification standards, the Regenerative Organic Alliance and its partners will offer background information, report developments from the past year and discuss upcoming plans. The program is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Platinum Ballroom 5 at the Anaheim Marriott.
