Herbalife Gets License In China; Builds Global Branding Initiative

Business is booming for Herbalife (Los Angeles), which posted $3 billion in global retail sales in 2006, up 25% from 2005. Confi dence got an added boost following a March 2007 announcement that Herbalife has been awarded a direct-selling license in China. The license permits Herbalife to conduct direct sales in Suzhou, the fi fth largest Chinese city, and Nanjing, both in the Jiangsu province.
