Rouen April 10th 2008 – The Iranex Group (CNI – Colloïdes Naturels International, Starlight Products, Nutriprocess and Afritec) announces today the acquisition of 100% of Bio serae Laboratories, producer and supplier of nutraceutical natural ingredients for food, health and well being.

Located in Bram, near Toulouse, Bio serae Laboratories yearly turnover is of 7 Millions Euro.

This acquisition consolidates Iranex group and more specifically CNI situation on the health products global market. With it Iranex confirms itself as an indispensable world leader for the nutraceutical ingredients and the food supplements.

CNI and Bio Serae Laboratories will benefit from strong synergies either between their products ranges or within their clients portfolios. Bio Serae markets a complete range of nutraceuticals active ingredients through well-known brands (NeOpuntia®, Cacti-Néa®, VinOserae®, VinOseed®…) for claims covering weight loss, joints comfort, antioxidants and heart protection.

CNI is rich of more than 110 years of experience dedicated to acacia gum – prebiotic soluble fibre – and makes a point to always develop new applications for its products in the agrofood industry as a scientific expert for the nutritional qualities of the acacia gum. CNI notably markets the brands FibregumTM, EficaciaTM, and its latest product family EquaciaTM.

The two companies share a strong will to carefully protect the natural supply of their products, to highlight their properties through numerous research projects and to guarantee their products quality and efficiency towards their clients.
