This year we wanted to do something special to recognize innovation on the Engredea show floor, and we wanted to make sure that everyone at the show knew about it. So on the first day of Engredea, the editors of Functional Ingredients, with the help of the editors of Nutrition Business Journal, combed the show floor and saw every single exhibitor. When we got together at the end of the day, we each had nominees for the eight different categories of the Editor’s Choice Awards—Best Science, Most Obscure Ingredient, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Partnership, Best Botanical, and Best Ingredient for Supplement, Food, and Beverage.
After some debate, we agreed on eight companies to recognize. Maybe you heard the clapping, kazoos, and maracas as we came around on Saturday with the awards and champagne? In case you missed it, here are the winners.
