Results of a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study out of Australia indicate that healthy middle-aged adults who took one teaspoon of Mannatech's Ambrotose complex twice daily performed significantly better on memory tasks and were overall more positive in their mood.

Frutarom's Alguard provides immediate beauty enhancement when applied to the skin, according to results of a new clinical study. Ten women applied a small amount of Alguard on half of their faces compared to a control cream on the other half and were monitored for one hour in a controlled environment. Researchers observed a clear reduction in fine-line length and depth, as well as a 24 per cent reduction in skin roughness.

D does it again
A literature review, involving 28 studies including 99,745 participants, conducted by researchers at the University of Warwick, published in the journal Maturitas, has determined that middle-aged and elderly people with high levels of vitamin D could reduce their chances of developing heart disease or diabetes by 43 per cent.
