Embria Health Sciences Announces Headquarter Location

New $10 Million Building to House Manufacturing and Office Facilities

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, May 1, 2006 - Embria (tm) Health Sciences, a raw material manufacturer of science-backed natural ingredients for the human nutrition market, announced plans today to locate its headquarters in Ankeny, Iowa. Embria will be investing more than $10 million in a new building that will house its manufacturing facilities as well as company office space. Plans to break ground on the 5.1-acre site are tentatively scheduled for late-summer 2006.

"We are pleased with our decision to headquarter Embria in Ankeny and are confident our commitment to Iowa will enhance and build upon the state's already strong economic pulse," said Embria president, Paul Faganel.

Embria's company leadership is currently based in Cedar Rapids in the same facility as its parent company, Diamond V (R) Mills, Inc., a world leader in the agricultural animal nutrition industry that was founded in Iowa in 1943. Throughout the decision-making and planning processes of this project, Embria has been working with the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) and the City of Ankeny to finalize the details. The project will locate in Ankeny contingent upon IDED Board approval for state tax benefits at the Board’s monthly meeting on Thursday, May 18.
