Herbalist & Alchemist receives kosher certification

Herbalist & Alchemist has received kosher certification for the majority of the company’s herbal products from OK Kosher.

TV personality and herbalist Sara Chana Silverstein, a long-time customer of Herbalist & Alchemist’s products, was the catalyst for this certification.

“Sara Chana prefers to use our herbal products in her practice, but needed for them to be certified kosher,” said Herbalist & Alchemist CEO Beth Lambert. “She made the introduction to OK Kosher, which started the process.”

"I am so proud and excited that Herbalist & Alchemist chose kosher certification under the circle K, making their products accessible to all kosher consumers. As a trained herbalist and a kosher consumer, I always tried to use herbal products with a reliable hechsher,” Sara Chana said.  “Much to my surprise, even though I had chosen the appropriate herbs, my clients were not getting the results I expected. After thorough research, I learned about the variability in different companies processing of herbs, and the impact that has on efficacy. So I searched for the best and most potent herbal products. I was impressed by the quality and expertise that goes into Herbalist & Alchemist’s processing of the herbs.  My clients were able to attain their desired healing. ”  

Sara Chana’s primary herbal practice is with woman and children. She has studied with David Winston.

“A kosher sign means that it does not have meat or milk products so these products are also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. And people with dairy allergies can be assured that the circle K the products are safe to use,” Sara Chana added.
