NEC Increases Manufacturing Efficiencies

National Enzyme Company announces the addition of a proficient, high-capacity blending machine to their manufacturing operations. This recent upgrade increases internal and external efficiencies by improving over-all production pace and increasing blending capacity. These advancements offer several benefits such as a reduction in turn-around times.

As a continuation of National Enzyme’s plan to increase productivity, the new blender expands NEC’s capabilities. “With our continued growth and expansion it was imperative that we increase our blending capacity. The addition of this blender will also allow our customers to take advantage of larger lot/batch sizes reducing the cost of testing,” said Harold Fox, Director of Sales.

As a result of this new addition, increased productivity can be felt throughout the entire manufacturing process. “Making one large batch instead of three eliminates two lab tests. Since lab testing can be expensive, this is an incredible improvement,” said Kevin Hampton, Director of Manufacturing. “Larger lots also help in Encapsulation and Packaging. Reducing lot changes eliminates a large portion of material change-over and clean-up time,” remarked Hampton.

“National Enzyme is proactively making changes to conduct business in a more efficient manner, so as to benefit those who trust us with their business. Not only does this new addition save turnaround time for the customer, but also saves in the cost involved for various lab tests per batch, clean up in-between lot changes and the time needed to change out materials. This is just one of many new improvements NEC has planned for upgrading our efficiencies,” explained Charles Amidon, Chief Operating Offi cer.

Since 1932, National Enzyme Company has been the leader in nutritional enzyme technology. From research and development to marketing support, NEC provides manufacturers and distributors worldwide with comprehensive dietary supplement services while adhering to strict NSF and TGA certified GMPs.
