The natural products industry is growing at an exponential rate. Awareness of clean food is at an all-time high, and new companies are capitalizing on that awareness every day. Even so, Zack Normandin of Little Duck Organics believes the industry is still small enough that networking is the best and most important resource a new brand has.
"Being here as a new entrepreneur is about putting yourself out there, introducing yourself to as many people as possible, then asking questions and taking the knowledge that you've learned and applying it," says Normandin. "When I think of everything that's happened, and the sliver of success that we've had with Little Duck, I can circle back every single time to a random connection that I thought was going to be insignificant, but ended up [being] a critical turning point that shaped the progress we've made."
