NFM seeking fall interns

Description: The web/print intern works closely with the editorial team to maintain and contribute to NFM’s website and magazine. Tasks include optimizing articles for search engines, researching and generating web-exclusive content, blogging, news reporting, researching, contacting experts to get the latest stats in the industry, and other special projects as they arise. There are potential opportunities to generate podcasts and/or web videos. We are looking for a smart, organized, computer-savvy person who is eager to learn. The print tasks include updating the industry insider sections of the magazine, helping editors research, copy editing, fact checking, and writing product pick descriptions. There are possibilities for lengthier writing, depending on quality of work.

When: August-December (flexible); also accepting applications for future semesters.

Hours: 15-20 hours per week at our Pearl Street office in Boulder, Colo. This is crucial as the person will stay busy with many different projects and needs to be available throughout the week.

Payment: $7.24 per hour

Qualifications: Must be an organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can meet deadlines. Editorial experience a plus. Knowledge of the natural products industry (or willingness to learn) may help, but is not required.
